CT Recognition of Diaphragmatic Eventration

Abstract

|
Diaphragmatic eventration is generally defined as an abnormal high position of part or all of the diaphragm, as a result of paralysis, aplasia or atrophy of varying degrees of the muscle fibers of the affected side without break in the continuity
of the
muscle. Chest radiograph showed elevated left hemidiaphragm and left hilum. Paper-thinned muscular portion of the diseased diaphragm was demonstrated with CT scan. We report a case of the asymptomatic. Diaphragmatic eventration confirmed by CT.
